HaloGraph™

Open-ended data,
three layers deep.

HaloGraph™ is an interactive three-ring chart that organizes AI Open-End™ responses into Themes, Answers, and Responses. Click any theme to drill straight through to the exact words respondents used — no spreadsheet required.

No deck, no pitch — just the platform answering your questions.

How it works

From raw open-ends to verbatim context in three steps

HaloGraph is auto-generated the moment your AI Open-End™ question starts collecting data. There's nothing to configure — open Reports and the chart is already there.

1

Auto-generated from your data

As soon as your AI Open-End™ question collects responses, the HaloGraph chart appears in Reports automatically. Themes are generated by AI and can be customised at any time via the AI Open-End™ Manager.

2

Explore three layers interactively

The inner ring shows Themes sized by support. The middle ring shows the representative Answers that make up each theme. Click any theme to drill in — the chart redraws around it, showing its answers and the verbatim Responses in the outer ring.

3

Filter, sort & export

Switch segments to see how themes shift by audience. Sort themes by support strength or response count. Open the data overlay to review a hierarchical table, then copy straight to clipboard for Excel — or edit themes without leaving the chart.

Capabilities

Every dimension of your open-end data, in one chart

Three rings, one chart

Themes occupy the innermost ring, representative Answers the middle ring, and individual verbatim Responses the outer ring. Each segment is sized by how many responses it contains.

Click to go deeper

Click any theme and the chart redraws around it — the selected theme moves to the centre, its answers form the inner ring, and the verbatim responses behind each answer appear in the outer ring.

AI-generated themes

Themes are automatically created by the AI Open-End™ engine. Open the Edit Themes shortcut directly from the chart to rename, merge, or split themes — changes reflect immediately in the HaloGraph.

Segment filtering

Switch from All completes to any segment defined in your study and the chart rebuilds around that audience — theme sizes, answer composition and response counts all update to reflect the selected cohort.

Support type toggle

Choose how support is measured: conservatively (a floor — the platform is confident real agreement is at least this high) or as the raw observed rate. Both are shown in the chart and data table.

Flexible sorting

Sort themes by support strength (default: descending), expected support, response count, or theme name. Puts the themes that matter most front and centre without any manual re-ordering.

Custom theme colors

Assign custom colors to each theme for brand-matched reporting. Colour choices persist across the chart and any LiveSlide that includes the HaloGraph.

Data table & clipboard export

Open the data overlay to review a full hierarchical table — Theme → Answer → Response. One click copies everything to the clipboard for pasting straight into Excel or any analytics tool.

Unthemed answer handling

Choose to include or exclude unthemed answers at chart creation. When included, they group under a grey Unthemed ring segment — visible but visually distinct from AI-organized themes.

Agatha AI

Themes organized by AI. Drill-down powered by your data.

HaloGraph is built on top of AI Open-End™ analysis. The AI reads every response, clusters them into coherent themes, and structures the chart automatically. You explore the story — the AI has already done the coding.

See Agatha in action
01

AI-generated theme structure

Every theme, answer and response in the HaloGraph is produced by GroupSolver's AI Open-End™ engine — no manual coding, no spreadsheet. The chart reflects the actual clustering of what respondents said.

02

Edit themes without leaving the chart

The Edit Themes shortcut jumps straight to AI Open-End™ Manager with the question pre-selected. Rename, merge or split a theme and the HaloGraph updates immediately — the loop between analysis and visualization is closed.

03

Feeds Agatha analysis

When Agatha analyzes your study, HaloGraph theme data is part of what it reads. Agatha surfaces dominant themes, connects them to segments, and frames the story around the ideas that gathered the most support.

Who it's for

Wherever open-ended data needs to be understood, not just reported

Qualitative researchers

Reach verbatim context without a spreadsheet

Start with the thematic overview, click through to the answers behind it, then land on the exact responses — all inside the same chart, without downloading anything.

Brand researchers

See what drives brand perception in respondents' own words

Identify the themes shaping brand sentiment, then drill into the specific answers and verbatims behind each one — with support strength telling you how widely each theme is held.

Product teams

Connect feature feedback to real respondent language

Find the theme that clusters around a product concern, then navigate to individual responses to capture the exact phrasing — invaluable for writing user stories or product briefs.

Insights agencies

Deliver open-end findings clients can actually explore

Embed a live HaloGraph in a LiveSlide deck so clients can drill down themselves during the debrief — turning a static report into an interactive conversation about the data.

CX & NPS teams

Connect themes back to individual respondent stories

Surface the themes in open-ended NPS feedback, then drill to the verbatims that best illustrate each theme — perfect for case studies or escalation reports.

Strategists & planners

Walk the room through open-end findings live

Pull up HaloGraph filtered by a strategic audience segment and explore the thematic landscape in real time during workshops — showing leadership not just what people think, but what they actually said.

Why HaloGraph™

Stop coding. Start exploring.

Traditional open-end analysis means exporting verbatims, coding them in a spreadsheet, and rebuilding the story from scratch for each deliverable. HaloGraph does the coding automatically and keeps the story interactive — so you explore rather than produce.
